HOW DOES THE PINK PARLOUR'S SPRAY TAN WORK?

Our Sunless Spray Tan uses a spray application of Sunless tanning solution to your body. When applied, DHA (the active ingredient in Sunless tanning solution) reacts with the proteins in your skin’s superficial layer to form a golden brown color.

 

HOW DO I PREPARE MYSELF BEFORE PINK PARLOUR’S SPRAY TAN?

Prepare your skin for the Spray Tan a week ahead by exfoliating and moisturizing your skin well. A well-moisturized skin will ensure a longer lasting tan. Exfoliate and moisturize well a day before your spray tan appointment. On the day of appointment, come with clean skin without oils, creams, deodorant or moisturizers.
 

DO I NEED TO WEAR SUNSCREEN AFTER PINK PARLOUR’S SPRAY TAN?

Yes, we highly recommend all our customers to always wear sunscreen when out in the sun. The spray tan solution does not have any SPF properties.

SHOULD I WAX/SHAVE BEFORE OR AFTER SPRAY TAN?

You should wax/shave 1 to 2 days prior to your Spray Tan appointment, and DO NOT wax/shave after your Spray Tan. Once you have your Spray Tan done, anything that will exfoliate your skin (e.g. waxing or shaving) will remove the colour.

WILL MY SKIN BE PATCHY ONCE THE TAN FADE OUT?

This depends widely on the skin condition of each individual. In general, spray tans fade naturally like a regular sun tan. However, for a person who didn’t exfoliate before receiving the spray tan, there is a higher chance of patchiness. This is also true if a person has very dry and flaky skin. To be safe, go with a colour that is 1 to 2 tones deeper than your skin as a very dark colour will also mean fading will be more obvious. Daily application of body lotion or cream will prolong the Tan and prevent patchiness during the fading stage. After 7 days, you may gently exfoliate to remove any remaining Tan color and continue to moisturise your skin well.

WHAT ARE THE SPRAY TAN COLORS THAT PINK PARLOUR OFFER?

HOW LONG DOES THE SPRAY TAN LAST ON MY SKIN?

The Spray Tan color will gradually fade through natural exfoliation, just like a tan from the sun. Pink Parlour’s Spray Tan can last on your skin for a good period of 7 to 10 days. You can also prolong your Tan up to 2 weeks by applying after care lotion, “Collagen & Vitamin Enriched Moisturizer”.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIFIC SHOWER INSTRUCTIONS I NEED TO FOLLOW AFTER MY SPRAY TAN?

Wait at least 6 – 12 hours before you shower to give the DHA time to fully react with skin proteins. Try to use a non-abrasive skin wash so that the Tan is not stripped away by the chemicals in your soap or shower gels. We highly recommend using a pH neutral soap. During shower, you will notice the Tan being washed away, leaving you with tanned any glowing skin underneath. Do note the Tan will still continue to develop even after your `shower for the next 24 hours.

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT AFTER PINK PARLOUR’S SPRAY TAN BEFORE SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN, POOL OR HOT TUB?

We recommend at least 48 hours after your Spray Tan appointment before going into the ocean, pool or hot tub, as chlorine and salt water will accelerate fading.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO PINK PARLOUR FOR THE SPRAY TAN?

You will be given a disposable hair net and g-string for the spray tan. However, you may also bring your own swim wear or choose to go full monty for no tan lines. To minimize the chance of Tan staining on clothing, we recommend loose clothing and dark colored clothing after your Spray Tan. Our Spray Tan solution is water-soluble, if it stains gets onto the clothes, immediately send it for wash in the washing machine as soon as possible.

CAN I APPLY MAKE-UP, DEODORANT, LOTIONS OR PERFUMES PRIOR TO TREATMENT?

It is advisable not to have any of the above as a clean bare skin is ideal for the Spray Tan. Pink Parlour also offer shower facilities at your convenience. It is also recommended to bring your own make-up remover or facial cleanser.

WILL I TURN ORANGE AFTER MY SPRAY TAN?

Not at all! Our Spray Tan solutions are formulated to give you a natural, just off the beach colour. However, high pH levels in the skin can sometimes results in what many people refer to as an ‘orange’ colouring. To prevent this from happening, use a pH balanced cleanser after your Spray Tan to control the level of pH levels in your skin.

WHAT SHOULD I LOOK OUT FOR AFTER MY SPRAY TAN?

• Do not shower before 6 hours

• Avoid washing your hands within the 1st hour.

• Do not perspire during the first few hours while the tan is developing, if this is not possible, choose our 2-hour rapid instead for a peace of mind.

• Avoid the rain.

• A spray tan does not mean that you have sun protection. Sunscreen is advised.

WHEN CAN I GO FOR MY NEXT SPRAY TAN?

You may schedule your next session in 2 weeks or less.

CAN I GO BACK FOR RE-TOUCH?

We offer 3 days free touch up after your spray tan appointment only for uneven spraying. For special cases caused by the clients, we shall charge regular payment.

HOW MANY TYPE OF SPRAY TANNING DO YOU HAVE

Beach tanning is for natural sun-kissed look, A-lister favourite & we also have Athlete tanning for a bodybuilding competition. We use a different solution for both services which is imported from Australia and Italy.
